So why blog about this?
Short answer, I thought it would be cool to share my experiences both as a driver for a TNC and as a builder of a Teardrop trailer.
The idea started when my wife suggested that I get a part-time job to fund the teardrop project and not have to dip into our personal savings. Trying to find a part-time job that won't take every weekend, offers flexibility, allows as much or as little hours as I want, is fun and/or all of the above is not easy. I've always thought it would be cool to be a TNC driver and didn't really have a huge opportunity until we moved out west next to the technology rich city of Seattle.
What will this blog be?
Like I stated above, mostly posts about either my driving/TNC experiences or my teardrop experiences. I might include the occasional post outside of this, but for the most part only those topics.
Since I'm starting this blog after I've started the TNC application process and researching teardropping (yes, I'm using it as a verb), I'll slowly post about my progress up until this point until I'm caught up and maybe mix it in with my current progress as well.
I also won't be posting what company(ies) I'm driving for or with at the time of the posts. This not only (hopefully) protects me from retaliation, but also protects the anonymity of my riders.
What won't this blog be?
The only things I hope doesn't make this list are useful or funny.
I may post something I learned to help whoever reads this or I may just post something to vent about a frustration. I don't know yet, so we'll find out together.
I don't plan on this blog being popular (not that I don't hope it might), nor do I expect to make any money from it (and most likely won't ever bombard the readers with ads). This could change, but I doubt it will.
You should also be aware that my full-time profession is not writing, English, or any other word-smithy (if you needed further proof) subject. Quite the opposite really. So don't expect 100% correct grammer, spelling, or anything else along those lines. Grammer-Nazi's have been warned.
Stay tuned for more posts soon...
